Wesak Day joy ^^

However, I have chosen not to betray my readers any longer. This time I'm blogging on how I celebrated Wesak Day.

Wesak Day, one of the most important days in Buddhist calendar, is a day to signify and commemorate the birth, passing away and enlightenment of Lord Buddha. As a devout Buddhist, I fully understood the meaning of Wesak and did what all concerned Buddhists do -celebrate Wesak by visiting temples. :)

For many years, Wesak Day is celebrated in the SJBA compound. It is no different this year.

Went to SJBA at 11am. Met Matthew. And gosh, he is a volunteered helper in the oil-lamp lighting department. That's wonderful. Had a short conversation with him and knew that......he is one lucky man.

Guess what, he has been offered a scholarship to study in India. =D Great news. Saved thousands of ringgit.

As I walked around the temple, a familiar figure was seen walking in front of me. On closer look, I knew he is one of my former teachers. But who??

Of all teachers, I met Mr. Thiru. Unbelievable eh? Anyway, I'm happy to see someone whom I haven't met for almost half a year.

Next, as I made my way to the meditation hall, I spotted yet another former teacher. This time a lady teacher.

Cik Chang. O.o If you can remember, she is my form 2 Sejarah teacher. The world is really small. Don't u think so?

Made my way home and got ready to visit the
Maha Vihara Buddhist Temple in Brickfields. For your info, I'm joining a trip organised by the Buddhist Society to this sacred temple.

Went college at around 3.30pm. The chartered bus arrived one hour later. Wasted my precious one hour. Zz

Heavy downpour didn't dampen our spirit. It was a blessing from Buddha, so said Mr.Tee, Sunway College Buddhist Society's adviser. Believe it or not, I'm making my maiden visit to The Maha Vihara Brickfields temple. I do felt a little ashamed to disclose this fact. -.-

I shall now feast your eyes on some photos taken. =)

These photos are taken in the Maha Vihara Buddhist temple. Notice the exquisite drawings and sculpture.
