Of a world class malaysian and football's shocking news

A flurry of events transpired this weekend in the world of sports. One of the major highlights of the weekend was the make-or-break deathmatch between MANCHESTER UNITED and LIVERPOOL. 14/3/09.. will be a special day to be remembered for the UNTHINKABLE of THINKABLE events happened.

It was supposed to be a day to revel in and enjoy as Man Utd take on Liverpool. But it turned out to be an unusual and tiring day. Zubin, my DIE-HARD Liverpool fan invited me over to his house for the crunch game at 8.45pm. Let me unfold the cronology of events that took place that fateful day.

1st : woke up early at 7 am to get ready for badminton game. Abel, Jian Ming and I have decided to play badminton,( a game which all of us love most ) but guess what it was not made possible. Just when I've prepared everything and even started wearing my sports shoes that the huge droplets of rain were seen pouring from the DARK, stormy sky. And so my plan were in tatters and I was forced to redress and subdue my high spirit. This is not the first time that I've made to feel disappointed and demoralized due to climate changes. Is it that the rain is poured to thwart my plans and hamper my indomitable spirit everytime when I have the strong sense of feeling to play? I hope not.

2nd : the purported meeting at cc was cancelled. Stanley messaged me saying that he could not make it for the Dota appointment later at 2pm. I was utterly TAKEN ABACK and asked Khai Ee for those who are going as I have to attend a funfair somewhere in PJ in the afternoon. He told me that Chee Khuin and the others might not make it so I decided not to go altogether. It was quite sad as I was really prepared for this and ready to show off my skills. xD.. I ended up following my family to a Funfair later.

3rd : Chemistry tuition. I don't know why I have this habit or tendency of SLEEPING/ showing signs of sleepiness during chemistry classes. It was not because of the teacher's teaching,( definitely), but maybe because of the NUMEROUS formulas to remember and CONFUSING structural formulas for the ALCOHOL and CARBOXYLIC ACID. My mind was so blur and I really struggled to get my eyes opened. On top of that, the class was really big and I have no space to move at all.

4th : The event of the day. After rushing home from tuition which ends at 7.30 pm, I had a quick dinner and geared up for the visit to Zubin's house. My bro followed as my mum drove a full-load of men ( my friends ) to Zubin's house. Upon reaching, I was greeted by Zubin's mother who smiled broadly as we entered the house. Wai Leong was already there and watching the match upstairs. Chee Khuin arrived seconds after I arrived and we sat impatiently waiting for the game to commence. Beng Kiat reached soon and was just in time for the match.

-Man Utd went ahead through Ronaldo's penalty and I thought it was the end for Liverpool
-Torres scored 5 minutes later courtesy of Vidic's mistake and the drama unfolds
-Evra brought down a Liv player and Gerrard scored from the penalty spot.

I couldn't believe my eyes as the screen of the tv flashed : Man Utd 1 Liverpool 2 at half time. Wai Leong and Zubin were euphoric and celebrated their teams' scintillating performance in style. I was left to wonder if Man Utd could get back into the game.

Went to a nearby KFC to buy food as Aik Boon and the others have not eaten their dinner. As we left the restaurant with the AROMATIC food, it rained again for the umpteenth time. We raced to Zubin's house with lightning speed and managed to shelter ourselves. The match has since started.

- A professional foul from Vidic earned a free kick for Liv. And it did the harm. Vidic was sent off and seconds later Aurelio scored. An unstoppable free kick which left VAN DER SAR stunned.
- A nice goal from Dossena killed the game and put it beyond Man Utd.
- Zubin was in seventh heaven while I was so furious and full of disappointment.
-For it was the worst defeat inflicted by Liverpool at Old Trafford since 1936, as the paper puts it.

SUNDAY

Datuk Lee Chong Wei's emphatic victory over the arrogant and boastful Lin Dan. They met twice in two weeks and Lin Dan holds the upper edge as he seems to be UNDEFEATABLE. In 10 meetings with Chong Wei, he won 9 and lost 1. But it all changed tonight as the Swiss Open Men's Single Final began.

- Lee Chong Wei was magnificent and resolute to fight against the mighty Lin Dan. For his heroics, he emerged victorious in the 1st set, thrashing Lin Dan 21-16.
- He did it in a professional way as he ended the jinx of losing against Lin Dan in major tournaments by beating him 21-16 again in the 2nd set.

A true, classy, and exemplary figure to be known as World NUMBER ONE. He is really my IDOL for the game.

MALAYSIA BOLEH!

What a post!! >.<

Alas.. The long-awaited holiday is back

Hey people it has been a long long while since the last time I blogged. Exams are FINALLY over and I'm thankful as it had been a torturing and tormenting hell of a time. Of all the papers, I think SEJARAH was the toughest and agitated me the most. U know, I do really think that our Education Ministry has to revamp its policies and change the format for our Sejarah paper coz it is plain RUBBISH to write 3 essays which are freakingly hard and made to give us a tumultous time. Reducing it to one essay would be understandable and a wise action to instil the sort of patriotism in us teenagers which I believe is the government's main goal in introducing this originally-meaningful-but-made-dull subject.

Add Maths is also another tough paper to sit for. Our add maths teacher really kicked our ass by setting the composite index question which carries a WHOOPING 10 marks. Oh my GOD!!! I would be more than joyful to get a B this time for the WICKED question has dented my hopes of obtaining an A for the 1st time in 4 attempts. I'm sure most of my friends are also HAMMERED by this particular question but hey its not the end of the world. People like Chee Khuin and Wen Hao should have no problem at all as they are simply FANTASTIC in Add maths, or I shall say EVERYTHING. If only I could receive a cell or two from these guys I would be the next GENIUS in the making. LOLS

But anyway let's forget about the come and gone exam and keep our focus on the HOLIIIIIDAY..
