Adios SPM.. =)

Finally.. Finally..The time has come for me to really sink deep in relaxation.. now that SPM is officially over.

I know that this is already an outdated news, 4 days after the last SPM paper. Oh well, that's because I simply couldn't find time to blog. Let me summarise my activities after SPM below:

14/12 Mon
The best day of my life. Bidding farewell to public exams is most welcomed. No more Sejarah, no more Moral. Zero worries. =)

Went CC straight after SPM after much persuasion from my bro. Had fun. Plenty. Esp in the 2nd game, using AXE. Pity Beng Kiat and Stanley. Both of them can't farm. I guarded them well. Yay

15/12 Tues to 17/12 Thurs
A day after SPM is meant to be a day of relaxation. AND this time my destination was Malacca. Visited A Famosa. Below are some photos taken in the Aninal World Safari.

Room number.

Another b'day party

2 days ago, I was attending Wan Qin's b'day party. And now barely a week later, it is another person's b'day.

It is Benedict's b'day. He is my friend from primary school, and I was the one who persuaded him to join me in my school.

This time I would cut short my post, as my energy was drained. Playing Dota made me tired. But it was fun though, getting 1st ranking among my friends (with the help of the master, Chze Hou).

Here are some photos taken.

OMG.. Time really flies..( like a rocket )

In a few more days' time, I will be sitting for my last SPM papers, which are Chinese paper 1 and paper 2. I am of course LOOKING FORWARD to the end of SPM, which also means the end of suffering.

But on the flip side, I'm sad. Really. Being a loyal student of SMK USJ 13 for 5 long years, I will certainly miss my school for I have fostered a strong bond with everything associated with it.

Esp my friends, who have gone through thick and thin with me, esp those who are in the same class with me since Form 1. And of course, I will NEVER forget my teachers. Teachers like Pn. Rachel, Pn. Tan, Pn. Nurhayati, Cik Tan, Mr. Jega.. They are experienced teachers with the best teaching ability. ( Guru Cemerlang =] )

They have moulded me into what I am today, a 17th-year-old teenager on the verge of stepping foot into the adult realm.

Not only that, I will also miss all the fun and excitement in school throughout my 5 years of schooling. I will miss the scene in canteen where I perspire profusely during recess as the fans are not powered while I eat the nasi lemak which is soo spicy that I could barely withstand; I will miss the time during P.J when my friends and I would play a game of badminton.

I will miss English lessons in class where I could spend time on other personal affairs as En. Jega talks in his phone; I will miss the laughter, funny chatters in class where Beng Kiat and Shin Yee would involve in a childish quarrel; I will miss the yearly Jogathon, the annual Scrabble competition, the annual Sudoku competition- in which I always win =).

I will miss Chemistry lessons, a time when I enjoy carrying out fun experiments; I will miss our Y.E Club,
Ace United Enterprise where we have achieved so much as a team learning business skills; I will miss Pn. Yeoh's funny lecture; I will miss Chinese lessons when I would be seen chatting away gleefully with Abel, Wei Khuan and Teck Quan.

I will miss practically
EVERYTHING. 2ndary school life is just so fun, zesty and roving. However, everything comes to an end and so do my years in SMK USJ 13.

No one is able to stop the running of time. It just goes on and on, and only God knows when it ceases.

And so I had to stop clinging too much to the past and have to embrace the future A.S.A.P.

Until now, I'm still unsure of which college to join. Heard that many of my friends would be heading to Taylor's University College, which is a renowned college in our country. But the fees are COSTLY. Way too expensive.

For now, I shall enjoy the next few days blogging and of course, studying Chinese. And I am more than delighted to clear my desk by .. removing all SPBT books.

At least I have the heart to save the environment ( by not burning the books) -.-

Anti-Chelsea

Say no to supporting Chelsea. It kills.

A firm message from the Ministry of Health.

=)

Random news and photos

A fortnight ago, I was tempted to follow my brother to Universiti Kuala Lumpur to be involved in a cube competition.

And it was an eye-opener. Really.

Even though Bio and Accounts were looming, I dared myself to race against time, to explore the wonders of cubing.

I took several photos there. Witnessed a couple of professional cubers. But there was this fat guy who stunned the whole boisterous crowd with his LIGHTNING speed.( Almost breaking world record - 7.08s)

Guess what, he solved a 3x3x3 cube in 7.88 seconds!!!!!!

Believe it or not? I was also astonished and taken aback. But this was a reality. The maiden Malaysian Open Cube Competition 2009 certainly expanded my scope of view.

The environment..

Fisher cube. ( Still dont know how to solve )

The proof. He solved the cube in 7.88s, to be exact.

Another weird cube.

6x6x6 cube

I call it 'dumpling' cube

And erm.. what is this??!! ( Amazed )

Cubes galore. All my bro and my cubes

Nice? =)

Sorry for posting such an outdated news. I simply do not have the time 2 weeks ago. Studying bio was the worst thing I've ever done!!

Adapting to life after SPM ( literally )

Hi guys, it is good to be back blogging.. Although there is this solitary chinese paper to sit for next week, I am more than happy to join in the hype and excitement that filled the air in school yesterday.

Everyone was waiting excitedly, soooo
DESPERATE for the clock to tick quicker than usual, for it marked the end of SUFFERING, and the beginning of LIFE.

From my desk, I too was impatient, already thinking of what I should do after the Chemistry paper. However bored I was, I didnt leave the exam hall earlier. This was partly due to the fact that none of my friends who were sitting near me like Sim Hui, Wan Qin, Shu Li leave the hall in haste.

But I could see the jubilation and elation in Soon Huat. He was one of the earliest to walk out from the hall of silence, en route to
FREEDOM, not exactly though ( with Chinese paper still to come ).

Nevertheless, the Chemistry paper 3 was easy. Too easy. At first sight, I really thought the experiment was tough. But after scrutiny, it was in fact very straightforward. And so I needed just a mere 45 minutes to complete the whole paper + check for mistakes. What a joy !!

Still, my joy was short-lived as I reflected back at the other papers in the morning. Paper 2 was of
HIGH standard. Why? Due to the section B and C. And if you have been trying out the state papers, u will see VAST differences in the questions asked compared to SPM. Esp Q9 and Q10. I didnt even know what metal to use for Q9!! =) Luckily I tried the other Q instead.

And soon I heard non-stop raindrops pouring down from the gloomy sky. It never stopped for at least an hour. Fiery winds were gushing and it appeared to me that this spell would last for the rest of the day.

Thankfully, the rain stopped around 5pm. But still, I was drenched to the core ( luo tang ji ), as my helpless shoe was submerged in a bloody pool of murky water.

I found my way to Soon Huat's hse at 5pm. We have a mission to be accomplished. To
kidnap WAN QIN. =X

Aik Boon and I were helpful. We went to source for the NICEST, CHEAPEST and MOST DELICIOUS cake for our birthday girl. But it wasn't easy. With a budget of RM 45, we had to make the right choice. We went cakeshop-hunting in Taipan. 1st to Baker's Cottage, then Secret Recipe.

And instead we bought the Japanese cheese cake from Berry's coz it was within budget.

Here are some pictures taken in the
QUEEN OF THE DAY's hse. Enjoy ~

My hotel! RM20,000

That's all.

And the last photo showed my one and only HOTEL in Monopoly. As the whole game was monopolised by the masters - Chee Khuin and Hon Chao. ( not Jon ) xD

Good news ~495 minutes of exam remaining to freedom =)

I'm back... after a dreaded week of intense study, with most of the pressure lifted. The feeling is just great, HOLY.

Here I am, finally being able to revert myself to my archaic way of expressing views through blogging.

Exams are really a heavy burden to shoulder, especially in this present era where everyone just can't get enough of the elusive 'A'. And I just can't understand why our government had introduced this new system of DOOM. -( you know what I
mean). Categorising a normal A into A+, A and A-. But the WORST part is that students of my age are the victims of such ( .. erm.. I dont know what word to describe. =.= leave a BLANK) ______.

Anyway, my doomdays are almost over. Yeah.. Even now I am already starting to celebrate the end of SPM. Of course I should. Who wouldn't?

All the hard and difficult subjects are over. Oh ya, Bio paper was not exactly hard. But paper 2 was an exception. As u know, I'm not a guy who likes bio or even have a slight tinge of interest in this subject. One reason is because I just can't memorize all the minute and small details of the structure in human's body. And another reason is that I prefer balancing chemical equations than drawing the shape of chromosomes in meiosis!!!!

So it was some sort of a disaster for Bio paper 2. There was a question with the picture of 2 figures with genetic mutation. God, I was really baffled by the unclear pic. I thought the genetic mutation was Siamese twins, as the 2 figures were standing so close to each other. I never pause, not for a moment. And so I was adamant that my answer was correct.

Moments later after the paper, I was told that the mutation was Down's Syndrome. How could it possible??????

Only God knows. Zzz. And so I was demoralized. Knowing that the question carried at least 6 marks, I was well aware that my chances of getting an A was diminishing. But I did not let the sheer disappointment distract my concentration, as I was proud and relieved that I did the right experiment for paper 3. =p ( using salivary amylase )

2 days ago, I was taken on a roller coaster ride, not in Genting =.=
but in my exam hall (BH 085). Thanks to the SUPER DUPER EXTREMELY HARD accounts paper 2. Anyone who took accounts manage to balance Q2? I doubt so. But You Fei can, kudos to him. Haha

And none of us ( all form 5 students sitting for accounts paper ) expected the question asking us to open A/K Perdagangan and Untung Rugi. So it was a total mess. I cant even remember that 'hasil' has to be placed on the right side of the A/K.

I can now confidently sum up the difficulty of all the subjects that I took.

1. BM - normal standard, nothing hard ( except for the peribahasa )
2. BI - easy but I was too nervous =.= + stomachache
3. SEJ- easier than expected
4. Mod Maths - piece of cake =)
5. Moral - moderate
6. Add Maths - quite okay, but a few tricks here and there
7. Bio - Slightly tough ( 2nd hardest )
8. Accounts - paper 2 was really hard ( Hardest )
9. Physics - normal.( except for the extension/ compression of spring)

10. Chemistry - ??
11. Chinese- ( should be tough- no doubts)

For now, I will surely take sufficient rest before battling the final two obstacles that stand in my way to frrrreeedommm!!!

Nite =)
